Anime and Philosophy seem to be two areas that should never collide. So why intertwine them?

Welcome to the Animosophy blog! Some of you might be asking "what will these blogs be about?" and "why intertwine these two seemingly unrelated subjects?" Well to answer the first question, these blogs are going to be based on various characters, scenes, episodes, or even entire shows and some of the philosophy behind them. To accomplish this, I will be taking these topics out of all sorts of different shows, so to show that it can be found in almost every genre. Whether you are a hardcore anime binger, or someone who doesn't watch at all, I hope that as you read these blogs, they will help you realize just how deep anime can get! Now onto the latter question and the main topic for this blog post:
"Why intertwine Anime and Philosophy?"
How can these subjects even be connected?
Anime actually is much closer to philosophy than one might think. Before I get into why I am mixing these two subjects, it would be best to probably explain how this is even possible. Philosophy can really be found almost anywhere. A lot of philosophy is about how to answer fundamental questions on various fields. These fields can range from literally any topic and can be about almost anything. Now, how does one bring this about with anime? In fact, there are a lot of philosophical concepts and ideologies that are intertwined with anime. Throughout these blogs, I am going to display exactly these types of situations.
Why delve into the relationship between anime and philosophy?
Anime in my opinion is actually one of the easiest ways to learn and inquire about philosophical topics. Anime has its own world full of different ideas, and a lot of these ideas can be based in philosophical concepts. Normally an author for a manga or light novel (which are the two main sources from which anime is created) will write something with a certain goal or lesson in mind, and these tend to be closely related to philosophy. I feel that philosophy will also allow us to have a better experience with the anime as we will know better what the goals of the creator are, and we can also relate with the characters much more. Philosophy can also be used everywhere in life, so I hope that the topics I will cover will be helpful in making other life decisions as well.
To Conclude...
I hope that through this journey I will be able to help you form ideas that you had never thought about previously. Hello and welcome again to the Animosophy blog!
